Bangalla is situated on the South East side of Scotland Island, one of only two populated islands in Sydney and home to around 300 families. The island is located in the heart of Pittwater, one of three drowned river valleys in the Sydney area (Sydney Harbour being the largest). Pittwater is bounded on one side by the Barrenjoey Peninsula which is an extension of urban Sydney, and on the other side by the beautiful Kurangai National Park. This setting creates a natural water-sports arena, home to some of the finest closed water sailing in Australia.
Scotland Is is 5 min by boat from Church Point, and 45 mins north of Sydney CBD. Church Pointt has a general store, café / restaurant and a ferry leaves regularly for the island and other boat only access bays.
